The Upper Dolpo region is situated north of the Dhaulagiri Range on the borders of Tibet ,it is a  protected area in Nepal as  the Shey-Phoksundo National Park lies within its borders.There are some fantastic views of many Himalayan peaks and a huge amount of flora and fauna to be enjoyed, but the view of Kanjirowa peak, Phoksundo Lake and the Dhaulagiri massif three of the many rewarding moments that stand out on this Upper Dolpo trek.

The Lower Dolpo Region is remote and rugged and a natural and unspoilt area that lies in far western Nepal in The Shey-Phoksundo National Park. The Dolpo region lies within a restricted area and a special permit is needed to trek here. The Lower Dolpo trek is not an easy one so you need to be in good shape physically .
Shey Phoksundo National Park contains the beautiful Shey Phoksundo lake that lies within fantastic scenery that also offers a wealth of fascinating ancient cultures. The park is home to some extremely rare animals and plants that are particular to the region..
