Sarangkot- Australian Camp trek is a best sunrise and sunset trek that offers the magnificent views of Himalayas view Annapurna range, Dhauligiri range, Machhapuchhre and green hills, terraces and the beautiful view of Pokhara valley. The trekking trail takes us into the lower foothills of Annapurna Region letting us explore the local villages to experience the local life and culture of people living in the low hills. It is not a strenuous trek ideal for those that want a feel of the mountain culture without taxing themselves too much. Sarangkot hill, Australian Camp and Dhampus village are the major attraction of this trek.

The paramount point of the Sarangkot to Australian Camp trek is a little less than 2000 meters and. The trail is very well frequented by local people and traders and there are plenty of opportunities for refreshment along the trail. You get to see the stunning views of Machhapuchhre (a holy mountain shaped like a fishtail) and other snow-clad mountains. Also, Australian Camp trek is ideal for people interested in photography and perhaps bird watching and would like to go trekking at a leisurely pace.

Sarangkot Australian Camp Trek starts from a drive to Pokhara and walking towards Sarangkot. Further, a gentle climb from Kande through the villages and forests will take you to Australian Camp from where you will have great mountain views of the Annapurna Range. The best months to trek to Sarangkot Australian Camp are pre-monsoon (February, March, April and May) and post monsoon (late September, October, November and December).

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 2: Drive or fly to Pokhara
Day 3: Drive to Kande and Trek to Australian Camp
Day 4: Exploring the Australian Camp and trek back to Kande. Drive to Pokhara
Day 5: Drive to Kathmandu
Day 6: Sightseeing at Kathmandu and Drive to Kathmandu
Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu
Day 8: Onward Departure

 

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
You will heartily be welcomed by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport. From thereon, you will be dropped at the hotel for relaxing. After that, you will be given a brief orientation of the Sarangkot-Australian Camp trek by our representative.
Meal: Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel.


Day 2


Drive or fly to Pokhara
Today we head towards the beautiful lake city, Pokhara. We either drive or take a flight to Pokhara. The major attractions of the city are the pristine lakes, thus also known as ‘City of Lakes’. It is one of the favorite tourist destinations because of the spectacular views of Himalayas.Pokhara is rich in terms of caves such as Mahendra Cave, Chamero Gufa (Bat cave), Gupteshwor Cave are the most prominent ones. Davis fall is another major attraction here.

Day 3


Drive to Kande and Trek to Australian Camp
After having our breakfast, we drive towards Kande, the duration is about 1 hour. On the way, we will traverse through Seti River, Hemja, Phedi and Naudada from where panoramic Himalayan views. The views include Fishtail (Machhapuchhre), Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and Annapurna. Moreover, to reach The Australian Camp, we have to keep moving upwards for about 3 hours passing through forest stream and stone paved path in most of the trail.

Day 4


Exploring the Australian Camp and trek back to Kande. Drive to Pokhara
From Australian Camp, we will trek to Dhampus. Dhampus is another nice village. It takes about 1 hour walking from Australian Camp. Dwelling through the enchanting trail from Australian Camp to Dhampus, we walk through jungle and see Annapurna Himalayas on the background.

Day 5


Drive to Kathmandu
Our trek has finally come to an end. Today we drive towards kathmandu on a tourist bus. After reaching Kathmandu our representatives will drop you to your hotel for relaxation. Moreover, for the remaining time of the day, you can explore the enchanting city of Kathmandu.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel.


Day 6


Sightseeing at Kathmandu and Drive to Nagarkot
After having our early morning breakfast, you will have a full day sightseeing plan at Kathmandu. Also popular as ‘the city of Temples’, you can visit the world heritage sites such as Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Explore the beauty of the city, its culture, and tradition on this day. Furthermore, you will be prepared for trekking overnight. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7


Drive back to Kathmandu
After having a wonderful time in Nagarkot, we head back to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu our representatives will drop you to your hotel for relaxation. Moreover, for the remaining time of the day, you can explore the enchanting city of Kathmandu.

Day 8


Onward Departure
After having your breakfast, you can have a relaxing time shopping in the city. At the evening our representatives will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Not to mention, you will be taking tons of memories of the trip.
