Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang Peak 6091m is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal , it is situated in the Annapurna region. Pisang  peak is fairly straight forward , it allows trekkers with little experience in climbing to combine a peak summit within a longer trek. For those trekking around the  Annapurna circuit Pisang Peak is well worth considering. The peak itself rises from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit.

Footnote: Pisang Peak is taken as an easy trekking peak compared to other trekking peaks, whilst it is not technically difficult, it is more challenging than a lot of people believe. The western face of the peak is guarded by a hanging glacier and offers a considerable challenge. To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the trails wind up through sparse woods and pasture to a kharka at 4,380 meters, considered the best place for setting up base camp. High Camp is set up at 5,400 m climbing to a shoulder on the south west Ridge. There will be snow at the high camp from the end of November to the end of March.
