For a trekking experience in a remote area of Nepal, that offers the trekker the options to study and see so much, the Kanchenjunga region situated in north eastern Nepal on the borders of Tibet and India is a hard one to beat. Kanchanjunga (Kanchenjunga translated means clear crystal) is the third highest mountain and stands at a height of 8598 meters.
Many of the treks in this region are focused around the Arun river, the local people living in this area very diverse and colorful  and are very much in touch with the nature that surrounds them.Sherpa and Gurung communities make up the majority of people in the northern part of the region Rai, Limbu, Magar, Tamang, Brahman and Chhetri are a lot more prominent in the south.
The area is full of natural beauty, it is also a habitat to a large amount of wild animals,birds and exotic plants.There are many species of flowers to be found here among them Rhododendrons, orchids, lilies and primula.are amongst The Kanchanjunga region also provides a habitat to the elusive snow leopard, along with others such as the Himalayan black bear, musk deer and the red panda. Birdlife includes Impheyan, pheasant, red-billed blue magpie, shy Drongo.
The trek is fairly difficult so you need to be fit to fully enjoy it.

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.

Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley, overnight at Hotel

Day 3

Fly to Biratnagar, overnight at hotel.

Day 4

Fly to Suketar and start trek to Lali Kharka (2200meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 5

Trek to Keswa (2100meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 6

Trek to Mamanke (2000meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 7

Trek to Yamphudin (1650meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 8

Trek to Lamite Jungle Camp (2920meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 9

Trek to Torontan (3080meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 10

Trek to Tseram (3750meters), overnight at tented camp.

Day 11

    • Down jacket, Woolen shirts and thick sweaters for winter December, January & February.
    • Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking.
    • Daypack: toilet items, camera, film towel, soap, a boot etc. 
    • Water bottle, sunglasses
    • 2-4 large plastic bags to separate clean clothes from dirty ones. 
    • Toiletries with small towels
    • Small headlamp or torch with spare batteries 
    • Raincoat (optional), which is useful when it rains.
