A  trek  to  Siklis  Village |  Siklis  Village  trek

Rustic Siklis
A trek to Siklis is ideal for anyone who enjoys getting off the beaten trail to enjoy the flora and fawna Nepal provides. The area is still very much undeveloped compared to the more popular trails in the region and the trekking is not difficult.
Siklis is situated northeast of Pokhara and alhough it is not far from the main Annapurna trekking trails; the route still has very few lodges or guesthouses. It is best to take a camping team.
Siklis is a lovely old Gurung village situated on top of a hillock at over 2000 metres,it is a classical Gurung village with narrow lanes and alleyways that are flanked by traditional stone and mud houses layed out in a traditional ribbon pattern. There are five distinct neighbourhoods, Lama-thar, Sabha-thar, Harpu-thar, Dhaprang-tha and Gari-thar, each district has a specific role to play within the community.
Siklis Eco trek is a leisurely one and there is plenty of time to take in the abundant flora and fauna. It is ideal for both birders and photographers and the trek provides some wonderful panoramic views of the Himalayas.
